The Inspector General of Police has instructed all police stations to closely monitor and gather information on institutions importing drones or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and their spare parts. Additionally, attention is to be paid to individuals operating businesses that sell drones or run repair shops, ensuring that their activities comply with the provisions of the Civil Aviation Act No. 14 of 2010.
Investigations have revealed that some institutions are importing drones and selling spare parts without adhering to the regulations outlined in the Civil Aviation Act No. 14 of 2010.
Authorities have emphasized that this action is a timely necessity, as non-compliance and activities that threaten national security could increase the risk of drone-related terrorist attacks at any time.
