Police Grant Private Bus Owners Three Months to Remove Unauthorized Accessories Amid Road Discipline Efforts

The Criminal Investigation Department has informed the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court that it has initiated an investigation into certain items that were recently misplaced from the Presidential Media Unit.

The Criminal Investigation Department has informed the court that these investigations have been initiated following a complaint received.

It was stated that the officers of the Criminal Investigation Department have obtained statements from the Procurement Officer regarding this incident and are scheduled to obtain statements from those who received these items.

The Criminal Investigation Department has also informed the court that steps will be taken to investigate the items that were misplaced and present a list of them to the court in the future.

After considering the facts presented, Colombo Fort Magistrate Ms. Nilapuli Lankathilaka also ordered that the progress of these investigations be informed to the court in the future.
