The police have arrested the main suspect in the death of the Kalutara schoolgirl who died mysteriously.
Dhanushka Gayan Sabandhu, a 29-year-old resident of Isuru Uyane, Kalutara, has been arrested.
Based on the information received by Kalutara Headquarters Police Inspector Ruwan Wijesinghe that the suspect is hiding in Galle area, a group of crime department officers headed by Crime Division OIC Police Inspector Dhammka Silva has raided in Hikkaduwa area.
It is reported that the suspect has been arrested and will be presented to the Kalutara Magistrate’s Court to obtain detention orders.
The deceased schoolgirl along with two other young men and a young woman had arrived at a hotel in the area on the 6th at around 6.30 pm.
