Media, Questioned Pohottu General Secretary Mr. Sagara Kariyawasam about the absence of any Rajapaksa in the recently held war heroes’ celebration and he gave the following answer.
Mr Kariyawasam stated explicitly that Mr Mahinda Rajapakse is the leader who ended the 30-year-long civil war, and the respect of the youth and citizens goes to him; however, he stated that he cannot comment on why he did not participate in the commemoration event, and thus refrains from answering that question.
