The Peradeniya Police said that the secretary of a State Minister filed a complaint today (29) saying that a member of Parliament of the Podujana Peramuna had threatened a private secretary of a state minister over the phone.
She said that she complained to the police that a member of the Podujana Peramuna made a phone call to her yesterday (28) and asked her about a statement that she was having sex with another person and threatened to cut her mouth if it was true.
When asked about this, Professor Ranjith Bandara, who was the subject of the complaint, said that he made a phone call to her and told her that if she did such an incident when JVP was in power, they would shut her up and not threaten her.
