According to reports, Reverend Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thero, who was sentenced to four years of hard labour and imprisoned, has been admitted to the prison hospital due to illness. (Sri Lanka’s Latest News)
Venerable Ittekande Saddhatissa Thero, Secretary General of the Ravana Power Organisation, stated this during his visit to Gnanasara Thero.
Saddhatissa Thero stated that Gnanasara Thero had previously been ill and was admitted to the prison hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, Saddhatissa Thero stated that Reverend Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thero has filed an appeal against the punishment imposed by the Colombo High Court.
“He is not a bad fit for us. However, we don’t know how the society is. We respect the law, so we will accept whatever it gives us.”
