Former Minister Mr. Patali Champika Ranawaka stated that the country is currently facing a state of lawlessness, with underworld groups engaging in shootings using unauthorized firearms.
He further alleged that the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) has not yet surrendered the 2,000 weapons that were used during the past incidents.
