Flights between Palali and Chennai are set to resume early next week after a gap of more than three years.
Air fares between Palali and Chennai will be significantly lower than the fares between Colombo and Chennai, airline sources said.
Northern Province Governor Jeevan Thyagaraja said that the resumption of flights and cheaper air fares will greatly help the people of the North.
Meanwhile, Jaffna Security Force Commander Mr. Chandana Wijayasundara said that necessary facilities have been provided for the resumption of flights.
