Over 200 unsafe trees will be removed in Colombo I Sri Lanka Latest News

A senior official of the Colombo Municipal Council said that more than 200 unsafe trees in the city of Colombo, identified as a threat to the safety of the people, will be cut down in the near future.Sri Lanka Latest News

The official said that the Peradeniya Botanical Garden and plant experts have informed to cut the branches of more than 200 trees to minimize the insecurity and after that the trees will be removed according to the proper procedure.

After five people were killed when a large tree fell on a bus at the Kollupitiya junction, the Colombo Municipal Council cut down about 30 large trees in the Colombo city limits.
