A special meeting of Sri Lanka’s opposition political parties is scheduled to take place tomorrow (14), political sources confirmed.
The discussion will be held under the patronage of former Minister G. L. Peiris and aims to foster unity among opposition parties, according to opposition representatives.
Last week, a similar meeting was held at the residence of former Minister Peiris. Tomorrow’s discussion is expected to serve as an extension of that previous gathering.
However, opposition representatives emphasized that the meeting is not intended to form an alliance aimed at directly challenging the government. Instead, the primary objective is to strengthen unity among the various opposition political groups.
