A significant meeting was held in Colombo between Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa and Japanese Ambassador Akio Isomata.
During the discussion, Premadasa emphasized the importance of preserving the long-standing diplomatic ties between Japan and Sri Lanka. He assured the Japanese Ambassador of his unwavering commitment to strengthening these relations and pledged his full support toward this objective.
The Opposition Leader also highlighted the necessity of re-implementing development projects previously undertaken by Japan in Sri Lanka. He assured that the Opposition would extend its fullest cooperation to facilitate such initiatives.
Dr. Kavinda Jayawardena, representing the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, was also present at this meeting.
