Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa paid the electricity bill for Mihintale sacred area and had the connection restored  I Sri Lanka Latest News

Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, has taken steps today to restore the electricity connection to Mihintala ‘Sacred area’, which was disconnected by the Electricity Board due to the accumulated arrears of 31 lakhs. Sri Lanka Latest News

That is after settling the related arrear amount of 41 lakhs.

With the information that the electricity has been cut off at the Mihintala shrine, Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, made a public statement yesterday and said that the Samagi Jana Balawegaya will mediate and pay the amount.

It has been learned that a businessman close to the opposition leader has offered to give the relevant amount.
