Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa stated that all attempts to postpone the presidential election have been thwarted, and now it is time to prepare to face the public’s opinion.
He made this statement in Mannar after the court’s verdict on the presidential election was announced. He also mentioned that the government, which had previously postponed local government elections out of fear of the public’s vote, tried to delay the presidential election in the same manner, but the court put an end to that attempt.
