Opposition leader, has expressed special gratitude to the court’s judges who are actively fighting for the judiciary’s independence I Sri Lanka Latest News

Even the Honorable Judges of the Court have openly criticized today for the continued actions of the Government led by the President to destroy the democracy of the country and they have admitted that the Government led by the President is making various threats, various interferences, pressure etc. Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, said that he has expressed gratitude and respect for standing up for the rule of law, democracy and people’s sovereignty in the country with a strong stance. Opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa said this yesterday (4) in a special statement.

The leader of the opposition said that the government should not carry out these shameless actions against the judiciary and it should be stopped immediately and that every influence on the judiciary is a massive conspiracy to destroy democracy in this country and the current government calls the country and the world as its participants.

Also, the alternative government of the country, the progressive opposition, the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, the legislature, the executive, and the judiciary, which strengthen democracy, are working as guardians of the supreme law for the common people by securing the 3 pillars that strengthen democracy through the concepts of protection and balance, separation of powers, etc. Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, said here that the opposition will act as public representatives to protect them with every decision made impartially and transparently.
