Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa refutes Daily Mirror’s claim on Sandaru Kumarasinghe incident; condemns false reporting in Parliament

In response to the Daily Mirror’s assertion that he urged dropping the Sandaru Kumarasinghe airport incident, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has vehemently denied such statements. He addressed Parliament, labelling the publication as a breach of privilege and expressed concern over the misuse of media freedom.

Premadasa clarified that he initiated discussions on the visa issue in Parliament, awaiting responses, and accused a pro-government newspaper of spreading false information to tarnish his efforts. He emphasized the need for responsible journalism to uphold truth and integrity.
