Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa stated in Parliament today that the Staff Advisory Committee meeting, held under Standing Order No. 146, is currently addressing an act of sexual harassment that occurred within Parliament. However, he noted that the full report on the matter has not yet been submitted.
Speaking further, Premadasa emphasized that the Opposition cannot present its views without access to the complete report. He added that the document submitted so far only contains the conclusion regarding the incident. The Opposition Leader called for the correct and full report to be submitted so that it can be properly reviewed before any discussion takes place.
