Renowned Sri Lankan athlete Susanthika Jayasinghe is reportedly in the process of obtaining Australian citizenship.
According to media reports, Jayasinghe has recently relocated to Melbourne, Australia, along with her two children. She cited her children’s education and future prospects as the primary reasons for her decision to settle in Australia.
Jayasinghe, a celebrated sprinter, made history by securing the silver medal in the women’s 200-meter event at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, bringing pride to Sri Lanka on the global stage.
