The official election results for the Hambantota Municipal Council in the Hambantota District have been released. The final vote counts for each party are as follows:
- National People’s Power – 4,750 votes
- United National Power – 3,874 votes
- People’s Alliance – 1,511 votes
- Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna – 1,279 votes
- Sarwajana Balaya – 816 votes
