Minister further states that there will be no revision of electricity charges.
The minister said in a tweet that it is the government’s policy decision to revise the electricity price every year in January and July.
The Ceylon Electricity Board has planned to supply electricity throughout the island continuously throughout the year without scheduled power cuts, and it further stated that the full capacity of the existing power plants will be used for electricity generation.
