New Ministers and Deputy Ministers Sworn In Before President at Presidential Secretariat

Several new ministers and deputy ministers were sworn in before the President at the Presidential Secretariat this morning (10).

The government has decided to reshuffle the Cabinet of Ministers in line with the 2026 budget, aiming to accelerate and streamline the country’s development goals.

Accordingly, the new ministers and deputy ministers who took oaths today are as follows:

Ministers

Bimal Niroshan Ratnayake – Minister of Transport, Highways and Urban Development

Anura Karunathilaka – Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation

Dr. H.M. Susil Ranasinghe – Minister of Housing, Construction and Water Supply

Deputy Ministers

Dr. Anil Jayantha Fernando – Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning

T.B. Sarath – Deputy Minister of Housing, Construction and Water Supply

M.M. Mohamed Munir – Deputy Minister of Religious and Cultural Affairs

Eranga Gunasekara – Deputy Minister of Urban Development

Dr. Muditha Hansaka Wijayamuni – Deputy Minister of Health

Aravinda Senarath Vitarana – Deputy Minister of Lands and Irrigation

H.M. Dinidu Saman Kumara – Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs
