The car driven by National People’s Party Puttalam District Parliamentarian Muhammad Faisal veered off the road at the Bandarawatte bend in Chilaw and collided with a wall, according to reports.
The accident caused significant damage to both the vehicle and the wall.
The incident occurred at around 11:45 PM last night, with reports indicating that the MP was the only person in the car at the time.
Chilaw Police are currently conducting investigations to determine the cause of the accident.
