Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa was released on bail today (29) after appearing before the Hambantota Magistrate’s Court.
The court had issued a warrant for his arrest yesterday, following his failure to appear in connection with an ongoing case.
According to reports, Rajapaksa had left the country on a private trip yesterday and returned to the island this morning, ahead of his court appearance.
