Namal Rajapaksa Rejects Allegations on Degree, Promises Response at Nugegoda Rally

When questioned by the media regarding recent claims about Namal Rajapaksa’s degree, Rajapaksa dismissed the reports as entirely false.

He stated that the public would be able to witness the response to these allegations at the Nugegoda rally on the 21st, pointing out that the results of the investigation—initiated through a B-report submitted to court shortly after the current government assumed office—have still not been released.

“This government submitted a B-report to the court within weeks of coming into power and obtained approval to investigate my degree. Since then, the investigations have continued for several months. Yet, nothing has been reported to the court to date. Despite this, they are spreading mud through websites. They are extremely afraid of the Nugegoda rally and are circulating false claims. All these slanders and insults will be answered on the 21st,” Rajapaksa told journalists.
