Sri Lanka’s leading businessman, Mr. Mithrapala Lankeshwara, owner of the Ratna Group of Companies, recently attended the Singapore Airshow 2026 to explore the possibility of acquiring a new helicopter to expand his aviation operations.
During the event, Mr. Lankeshwara and his team held comprehensive discussions with representatives of Bell Helicopter and closely inspected the Bell 505 aircraft showcased at the exhibition.
The discussions focused on assessing the helicopter’s technical specifications, performance capabilities, and overall suitability for domestic commercial operations.
The meetings were facilitated by Ceylon Aviation Services (CAS), the independent sales agent for Bell Helicopter in Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
Meanwhile, Ratna Aviation, a subsidiary of the Ratna Group, currently operates a Robinson R66 turbine helicopter to provide commercial aviation services within Sri Lanka.
