Minister Bimal Ratnayake announced that the government’s large-scale development projects are scheduled to begin in September.
According to the Minister, the first phase of these initiatives will be launched in Jaffna under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
He further stated that development activities in the newly established Coconut Triangle in the Northern Province will commence on September 2, focusing on the Mullaitivu area in the Vanni region.
Minister Ratnayake added:
“The government is implementing large-scale development projects this year, starting from September 1, especially for the benefit of the people. In Jaffna, we will open an international sports complex in the Mandativu area. In addition, residents have long faced difficulties in obtaining passports at the Jaffna Kachcheriya. We aim to resolve this issue by introducing an online system, along with initiating several other development activities.”
