Religiously significant and culturally centred Sri Lankan element currently facing extinction due to mainly man-elephant conflict a Wantage documentary informs. Sri Lanka has the highest density of ageing elephants and now they are dying in large numbers the report indicates. The documentary further highlights 470 elephants were killed last year mostly due to man-elephant conflict.
