Speaking at the press conference held today (30), Mr. Krishan Marambage, Chairman of the All Ceylon Lottery Dealers Association, said that the decision to increase the price of a lottery to 40 rupees with effect from the 6th of next month creates a risk of ruining the lottery industry.
Therefore, from the 6th of next month, lottery sellers have decided to withdraw from lottery sales, says Mr. Krishan Marambage.
He further said that this action is taken in protest against raising lottery prices.
