Mr. Nimal Lanza, Member of Parliament, states that the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna is following a duplicitous policy regarding the division of power. Sri Lanka Latest News
Mr. Nimal Lanza expressed these views by issuing a special announcement to the media.
The announcement further states as follows.
“The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna has no moral right to object to the implementation of the 13th Amendment of the Constitution to prepare a program acceptable to all the people of the country. The leader of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna and former President Mahinda Rajapaksa was of the opinion that a solution to the separation of powers beyond 13 should be reached. The 13th Amendment of the Constitution is still included in the Constitution and under it, the current President Ranil Wickramasinghe is going to implement a power sharing acceptable to all the people of the country by getting the opinions of all political parties, and the Secretary of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Mr. Sagara Kariyawasam expressed his opinion against it. Double standard” by displaying in front of the country.
To build a stable economy and unity, peace and harmony must be built between all the people of the country. In order to build trust among all the people of the country, there should be a division of power that is acceptable to all. This will enable all sections of the population to contribute to the economic development of the country. Then the Sri Lankan sentiment will be built among all sections of the population. International trust can also be built through a separation of powers that is acceptable to all sections of the population. It should be explained on what basis the secretary of the party would present an opinion that is different from the opinion of the leader of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa, as well as the opinion of the majority of MPs who act in accordance with the conscience of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna without the slightest understanding of it.
A small number of people in that party have expressed different opinions that a candidate will be presented by the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna for the forthcoming presidential election and if possible they should directly reveal to the country who the presidential candidate will be presented by the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna.
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna is misleading the people of the country by giving various hints that they will present a candidate of that party for the upcoming presidential election and a leader with a three-letter name for that, due to the lack of consensus within the party. If possible, they should announce the next presidential candidate of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna according to the agreement of all parties.
The program of the current President Ranil Wickramasinghe, who brought about economic, social and political stability by rebuilding the country due to the crises caused by the instability of the country, has been forgotten by a few people who do not have a popular opinion in the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna. It is regrettable that a few people in that party are working to forget the leadership of President Ranil Wickremesinghe who created the necessary democratic environment to carry out political activities again.
The current President Ranil Wickramasinghe was chosen as the only leadership of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna who could solve the instability and the crises that arose in the country and build stability in the country. In such a situation, the people of the country have built trust in the current President Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe, who resolved the economic crises in the country and rebuilt the country with the support of the international community and established economic, social and political stability.
Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe is the only and mature leader who can rebuild Sri Lanka with forward vision and international support. Mr. Nimal Lanza further stated in the announcement that the majority of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, who have a broad understanding of that, will work to make Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe win in the upcoming presidential election and the opinion of the few people who do not have a referendum and cannot identify the people’s will will be rejected by the people of the country.
