Chief Opposition Whip Lakshman Kiriella told Parliament today that members from both parties should discuss bringing an impeachment motion against the president of the Appeal Court.
“We do not criticise all judicial officers. Over 99 per cent of judicial officers are truthful. There are a few bad apples among the judicial officers. “Action should be taken against them,” said Kiriella.
“When dealing with SLC, the concept of judicial notice should be applied.” There are some facts that the judiciary should consider. “The judiciary should take note of the corruption in SLC,” he added.
