Kelani University students take to the streets for Vasantha . A protest march has started near the University of Kelaniya demanding the release of Wasantha Mudalige and Siridhamma Thero, the convenors of the Inter-University Student Body who have been detained using the Prevention of Terrorism Act.
It is also reported that police and anti-riot units as well as water cannons have been deployed at various points along the route of the protest march.
It is also reported that Kelaniya Road has been closed near the university
