Japan Sends Expert Team to Assess Sri Lanka’s Urgent Medical Needs

The Embassy of Japan in Sri Lanka announced that a Japanese assessment team arrived in Colombo today in response to the massive destruction caused by the recent cyclone.

The four-member delegation, consisting of JICA officials and medical specialists, will evaluate urgent medical requirements on the ground. Their findings will guide the forthcoming deployment of a Japan Disaster Relief Team, reaffirming Japan’s swift support and solidarity with Sri Lanka during this crisis.
