A significant meeting took place at the Indian High Commission in Colombo between the Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Mr. Santosh Jha, and the Leader of the Opposition and Samagi Jana Balawegaya, Mr. Sajith Premadasa.
During the discussion, a wide range of economic, social, and political matters were deliberated. Mr. Premadasa extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Government of India for its longstanding support to Sri Lanka as a close neighbor. He also appealed to the Indian High Commissioner to continue providing essential assistance to help Sri Lanka navigate its ongoing economic crisis and work towards recovering from bankruptcy.
