Police say that a young woman has died after a police officer’s firearm misfired in Borella Sahasrapura area.
The police added that a 25-year-old girl resident of Halgahawatta area died in this incident which occurred during a raid conducted by a group of police officers in Borella Sahasrapura area.
The Police Media Unit, which states that the dead body of the deceased girl is at the Colombo National Hospital, also stated that they have started a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
