The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, led by former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, has revealed that Khan is suffering from a serious eye disease.
According to the party, if the condition is not treated promptly, it could result in severe damage to his eyesight, as reported by foreign media.
The 73-year-old Khan has been in prison since August 2023 and is currently serving his sentence at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.
In a statement shared on social media, PTI cited reliable media sources confirming that the former prime minister has been diagnosed with a retinal vein occlusion in his right eye.
The party also noted that this condition causes a dangerous blockage of the retina, potentially threatening his vision, according to foreign media reports.
