International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka next month, according to Sri Lanka Latest News.
The visit was confirmed by IMF Asia and Pacific Department Director Krishna Srinivasan during a meeting held yesterday (28) between IMF representatives—who arrived in the country to assess the damage caused by Cyclone Ditva—and President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
During her visit, Georgieva is expected to review the progress and success of Sri Lanka’s Extended Fund Facility (EFF) programme and to ensure the continuation of IMF support to the country.
