At present, there is a serious shortage of medicines in our country and there is no medicine in the hospitals as well as in the pharmacies, so how can we take care of the elderly, mothers, children etc. citizens without medicines? Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, who said that he would question whether or not to buy medicine for money, said that the price of medicine has gone up very high. Opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa said that the rulers do not understand any of this, they are happy because they are getting medicine and food as they need, ministers are enjoying themselves in 7 star hotels, when they get sick, they go to 7 star hospitals and they do not understand the suffering of the people.

Opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa said this today (22) at the occasion of giving a kidney leakage filtration machine worth 39 lakh rupees to the Trincomalee hospital. Earlier, the hospital equipments worth Rs. 160,266,900 have been donated in 53 stages through a breath from Samagi Jana Balavega.

The opposition leader said that even the doctors’ association and hospital directors are saying that they should manage as many surgeries as possible and the lack of even the necessary anaesthetics is an extreme problem. According to Central Bank reports, medicines cost about 50 million dollars per month, but the current leaders have not been able to find that amount and they are used to stealing even from medicines. The opposition leader said that action will be taken.

Also, the opposition leader stated that even though the people lack the ability to work, they have the ability to obtain provisions and resources through the governors, and they were able to provide millions of medicines to many hospitals in this country, and he is overjoyed to see thousands of people being cured.
