Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, said that the President has said that the people do not have faith in the elections and that he is not surprised that such a statement was made by a leader who reduced his party to a single seat.
The opposition leader, who said that president is well aware of the fate that will befall him if an election is held, questioned how the president can say that the political parties in the parliament do not even have 50% of the country’s power.
