Mr Namal Rajapaksa said this while speaking to the media at the Parliament premises after President Ranil Wickremesinghe as the Minister of Finance presented his budget speech this afternoon (13).
“Looking at it, he has presented many issues in the last budget as well. It seems that they have not been implemented. So it has been presented again.”
“Has it been practically accomplished at the grassroots level to say that the same matter is read twice?” no? We have the problem.
“So we are waiting for the fact that this year’s budget will also be a budget announcement limited to such a speech.”
“After studying this in the coming period, we will present our views in the parliamentary debate. Let’s see if the President accepts them.”
“He has come as the finance minister of the Pohottu government. If so, our policies should be in the budget proposals. “Fairytales are useless.. if they are not implemented in practice.” -Derana
