Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, stated in Parliament today that the former chairman of the COPE Committee, Professor Charita Herath, will be re-nominated to the COPE Committee.
The leader of the opposition took steps to nominate Mr. Charita Herath to fill the vacancy caused by Mr. Harsha de Silva, who had been appointed as a member of the COPE committee, leaving voluntarily.
