While attending a pooja at the Mathumagala Church, Malcolm Ranjith Cardinal Thero stated that if dissenters continue to be imprisoned, the entire country will be imprisoned.
The cardinal also stated that approximately four thousand youngsters who took part in the previous people’s struggle were arrested.
Cardinal further states that he is praying for the youth who have struggled to alter the system.
The owners ask the Election Commission to intervene, emphasising the importance of holding an election as quickly as possible.
