Steps have been taken to remove Dr. Nalaka Godaheva from the Committee on State Finance, where he was a member on two previous occasions. Mr. Godaheva points out that this removal was done due to holding independent views.
Mr. Godaheva’s Facebook post in this regard is as follows. This time I have been removed from the Committee on State Finance, which I was a member of in the last two parliamentary terms. Is this the reaction of the ruling party regarding expressing opinions independently inside and outside the parliament as a public representative when the President invited even the opposition to an all-party government?
