Galle district has become the dungeon of the underworld.
A senior police officer said that 15 murders have taken place in Galle district in three months from June 1 to August 31 this year.
Twelve of these murders were carried out by gunfire and seven of them took place in the Ambalangoda area.
The other three are murders committed with sharp weapons.
