The audit report for the year 2021 reveals that there are no necessary deeds or acquisition orders to confirm the ownership of 34 properties out of 73 land and building properties owned by Dehiwala Mount Municipality, and the land size of 24 properties has not been measured. (Sri Lanka Latest News)

The audit report further reveals that due to the lack of proper supervision and security measures on the land, the council’s land has been acquired by other persons without permission.

The audit has questioned the Dehiwala Mt. Municipal Council regarding the lack of ability and need to identify properties worth crores of rupees.
