Former SLP-JVP Ministers Unite with Sajith in Polonnaruwa to Support Country Building Program – VIDEO & PHOTOS | Sri Lanka Latest News

When the Polonnaruwa district meeting of the ‘People’s Wall’ program implemented by the Samagi Jana Balawega was held, several regional organizers of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and the Janata Vimukti Peramuna met the opposition leader Mr Sajith Premadasa and joined the Samagi Jana Balavegaya.

Mr Nandasena Herath, a former Member of Parliament and a former minister joined the Samagi Jana Balawegaya to support the opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa. Mr. Herath served as a member of the North Central Provincial Council in 1993 and was elected to Parliament from Polonnaruwa District in 1994. Also, in 2001, he worked as a deputy minister related to food trade.

Also, Mr. Tilak General Secretary, a former Member of Parliament of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party as well as a Director of the Mahaweli Development Authority, joined the Samagi Jana Balawegaya. After serving as a member of the North Central Provincial Council in 1993, he was elected to Parliament in 1994 and served as a Member of Parliament in Minneriya Constituency for 7 years.

Also, the former MP H. Samantha Bandara who was the only member elected from Janatha Vimukti Peramuna to Bandiwewa Division of Polonnaruwa Municipal Council joined the Samagi Jana Balawega to express his support to the opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa.
