A five-member Supreme Court bench has been appointed to consider the fundamental rights petition submitted by Mr. C.D. Lenawa, an entrepreneur. Sri Lanka Latest News.
The petition requests an order to prevent the holding of the presidential election until the Supreme Court provides an interpretation regarding the dates marking the end of the President’s term of office.
The relevant petition is scheduled to be considered by the bench on the 8th of this month.
