External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr. S. Jaishankar will undertake an official visit to Sri Lanka on June 20, 2024.
During the visit, EAM will hold meetings with Sri Lankan leadership to discuss a range of partnership issues. This marks EAM’s first bilateral visit since the new government was formed under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
The visit reaffirms India’s Neighbourhood First Policy, highlighting India’s enduring commitment to Sri Lanka as its closest maritime neighbour and longstanding ally. The visit aims to enhance momentum for connectivity projects and foster mutually beneficial cooperation across various sectors.
