The opposition leader further noted that there is no need to divide the two sides because of the Easter attack, but they divided in the 2019 presidential election and the 2020 general election, and then the Podujana Peramuna asked for a mandate to find the truth about this, but no matter how many years have passed since that mandate, proper justice has not been done.
The main reason for the current situation is the promise made by the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna to the public in 2019 and 2020 that if the trust of the Catholic community, the Cardinal and the Fathers is sought after, there is no need to talk about this today and there is no need for advice from foreigners to investigate such an attack.
