Mr. Eric Solheim arrived in Sri Lanka through Katunayake Airport in the afternoon.

Although Mr. A served as the Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Program for some time, he had to leave that position in 2018 due to a financial charge.

The allegation was that he had spent 488,512 dollars on foreign trips without any accountability.

After being accused in this regard, he had taken steps to leave the post.

However, the Sri Lankan media has reported that he is still working in that position.

In addition, Mr. Eric Solheim had visited Sri Lanka several times as the peace representative of Norway during the last war and had also served as a minister of the Norwegian government.
