It has been revealed that the Epstein files released so far contain 188 references to Sri Lanka, a development that has caused considerable embarrassment to powerful presidents, prime ministers, and globally renowned figures.
However, reports also confirm that none of these references include any allegations of wrongdoing or criminal activity connected to Sri Lanka.
The United States Department of Justice has recently taken steps to publicly release a large volume of documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. As part of this process, documents and photographs involving numerous prominent international figures who had close associations with Epstein have been made public. Consequently, many influential individuals around the world have found themselves in an uncomfortable and embarrassing position.
Notably, the released files include rare photographs of powerful figures such as current US President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, members of the British royal family, Michael Jackson, and several other influential personalities from different countries.
With regard to Sri Lanka, the documents reportedly state that Jeffrey Epstein visited the country as a transit destination and met with several prominent individuals during his stay.
