Accordingly, this special monthly allowance is to be paid from September 2024 until the salary discrepancies are rectified.
Mr Susil Premajayantha, the Minister further commented,
“A separate committee has been appointed regarding the salary discrepancies in the public service. The committee was appointed to solve the wage disparities in all fields at once. Meanwhile, according to the idea of the same committee, it was decided to give an allowance of 3000 rupees to the pensioners from the month of September until these activities are completed. About 7 lakh people will get that benefit.”
